Rajendra Velagapudi is the MD & CEO at Cyient DLM and a member of the company’s board of directors. Rajendra is responsible for driving growth of the company, primarily focusing on driving efficient operations, new business development and growth in new emerging sectors and markets. He has extensive operations experience in engineering and manufacturing, having championed numerous continuous improvement processes and supply chain initiatives to improve operational performance and margins.

Rajendra joined Cyient Ltd (then Infotech Enterprises) in 1999 and was Senior Vice President & Head - Engineering Operations Unit till March 2016 wherein he was responsible to motivate the work force to deliver the products on time every time, improve productivity, focus on innovation etc. He took up the role of MD of Cyient DLM in April 2017 and was responsible for Build to Print and Build to Spec opportunities in mechanical and electronics products.

Rajendra began his career in 1987 in Ford Truck Division, later transitioning to Bajaj Tempo and Bharat Earth Movers Limited. He has hands on experience in design and analysis of power train systems for commercial and off-highway equipment’s. He holds a Master's degree in Automobile Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology and a Master's in Design from Cranfield University, UK.
