Rajendra Velagapudi is the Managing Director at Cyient DLM and a member of the company’s board of directors. Rajendra is responsible for manufacturing operations, primarily focusing on growing existing DLM businesses and creating new opportunities in emerging sectors. He has extensive operations experience in engineering and manufacturing, having championed numerous continuous improvement processes and supply chain initiatives to improve operational performance and margins.

Rajendra joined Cyient Ltd (then Infotech Enterprises ) in 1999 and was Senior Vice President & Head - Engineering Operations Unit till March 2016 wherein he was responsible to motivate the work force to deliver the products on time every time, improve productivity, focus on innovation etc. He took up the role of MD & CEO of Cyient DLM (Manufacturing arm of Cyient Ltd ) in April 2017 and was responsible for Build to Print and Build to Spec opportunities in mechanical and electronics products.

Rajendra began his career in 1987 in Ford Truck Division, later transitioning to Bajaj Tempo and Bharat Earth Movers Limited . He has hands on experience in design and analysis of power train systems for commercial and off-highway equipment’s. He holds a Master's degree in Automobile Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology and a Master's in Design from Cranfield University, UK.
